# acpt/save\_form

Fires when a front-end form submission is received, before it is validated and saved

**Type:** Action

Fires when a visitor submits one of your front-end forms, as soon as ACPT has read and sanitized the submitted values: **before** validation, before any permission check and before anything is saved.

To allow or reject a submission, use [`acpt/form/authorize_submission`](/developers/actions/acpt-form-authorize_submission.md) and [`acpt/form/authorize_field`](/developers/actions/acpt-form-authorize_field.md) instead: they run after validation and can stop the submission before any data is written.

### Parameters
