# \[acpt]

Display a custom post type meta field value

Displays a custom post type meta field value. If no post ID is provided, the global `$post` object is used.

### Usage

```
[acpt box="box_name" field="field_name"]
```

Specify a post ID explicitly:

```
[acpt pid="234" box="box_name" field="field_name"]
```

### Parameters

| Parameter | Required | Description                                |
| --------- | -------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| `box`     | Required | The meta box name                          |
| `field`   | Required | The field name                             |
| `pid`     | Optional | The post ID. Defaults to the current post. |

All [shared parameters](/developers/shortcodes.md#shared-parameters) are also accepted.

### Examples

#### Date field with custom format

```
[acpt box="box_name" field="date_field" date-format="d/m/Y"]
```

#### Email field displayed as a mailto link

```
[acpt box="box_name" field="email_field" render="link"]
```

#### Repeater nested field

```
[acpt box="box_name" field="nested_field" parent="repeater_field" index="0"]
```
