# Date range field

This field is specialized for selecting a range of dates.

To use it, you can click on the input field.

A tooltip will appear:

The dates are always stored in **YYYY-MM-DD format.** It is possible to display the dates in the preferred date format. Please have a look at the [shortcodes](/developers/shortcodes.md) or [Bricks advanced settings](/integrations/bricks-builder/additional-options.md) section for more info.
