ACPT built-in cache settings
Here you have the ACPT built-in Cache settings:
Enable ACPT cache
On
Cache is enabled by default, but you can always disable it.
Enable cache for meta data
Off
Use the ACPT cache for storing meta data.
Cache driver
File system
Choose between three cache backends: File system (stores cache data as files on disk), Redis (connects to a Redis server), or Memcached (connects to a Memcached server). See Driver configuration below.
Cache stats
—
Info about items stored in ACPT cache.
Flush the ACPT cache
—
Flush the entire ACPT cache.
Driver configuration
Selecting a driver reveals additional configuration fields.
File system
Cache folder
cache
Relative sub-folder name inside the plugin directory. By default data is stored at wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-post-type/cache.
Cache folder (absolute path)
Empty
Optional absolute server path (e.g. /var/cache/acpt). When set, overrides the relative folder above. Any value starting with / is treated as absolute; values without a leading / are ignored in favour of the built-in default.
Use the absolute path when:
The plugin directory is read-only (e.g. managed hosting, Docker image).
You run a multi-site network and want all sites to share a single cache volume.
You want to point the cache at a high-performance
tmpfsor RAM-disk mount.
Redis
Redis host
127.0.0.1
Hostname or IP of your Redis server.
Redis port
6379
TCP port Redis is listening on.
Redis database
0
Redis database index.
Memcached
Memcached host
127.0.0.1
Hostname or IP of your Memcached server.
Memcached port
11211
TCP port Memcached is listening on.
Test driver connection
After filling in the driver settings, click Test driver connection to verify ACPT can reach the cache backend. A success message confirms the connection; if a required library is missing (e.g. predis for Redis), ACPT will offer to install it automatically.
