# Basic fields block

The Basic fields block

This block uses server-side rendering. This means the content is dynamically fetched every time the block is rendered.

This block allows displaying the [basic ACPT fields](#user-content-fn-1)[^1] in the Gutenberg editor.

In the Gutenberg editor, add a new block and select **ACPT Basic fields**:

Now please notice in the right sidebar the **General Settings** panel: choose the meta field from the list.

After you select the field, the **Advanced Settings** panel will show a range of new options, depending on the field type.

### Example: an email field

Suppose you have an email field.

Once you add it to the page, you'll have just one option in the **Advanced Settings** panel:

You can display the email address as text or link.
